Connection to the chimney
WARNING!
You should consult a chimney sweep before connecting the stove to the chimney. Joints should be tight and
impermeable, where they butt up against the appliance as well as against other joints. The fume outlet may not
protrude through the chimney opening. The joint between the stove and the chimney should have the same
diameter as the connector pipe on the stove. Horizontal joints that are longer than 5,0 metres should be
connected to the stove at an angle of 10°. Pipes that are not thermally insulated or vertically installed may not be
longer than 1 m.
Keep a minimum distance of 40 cm between the connector pipes of the stove and flammable components. A
distance of 10 cm is adequate if the connector pipes have a non-flammable casing of at least 2 cm thick. Where
the connector pipes pass through components made of flammable materials, these connector pipes:

should be covered with a protective tube of non-flammable material for a minimum distance of 20 cm, or
-
should be covered with non-flammable materials for a minimum distance of 20 cm.
Shorter distances than those stated above are permissible if it can be guaranteed that the nominal capacity of the
stove at the height of the flammable materials cannot generate temperatures higher than 85°C.
WARNING !
Connection to a chimney shorter than 4 m (5 m in the case of several stoves being connected) is not permitted.
A maximum of two other stoves may be connected to the chimney to which the stove is connected.
