Safety instructions

Read these safety instructions carefully before using your 

appliance and keep them safe for future reference�

•  This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years 

and above if they have been given supervision or instruction 

concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand 

the hazards involved� Cleaning and maintenance by the user 

must not be carried out by children, unless they are aged 8 

years or over and only under adult supervision�  

Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children under 

8 years of age�

•  This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, 

sensory or mental abilities or those with a lack of experience 

and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or 

instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and 

as long as they understand the hazards involved� 

Children must not use the appliance as a toy�

•  If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the 

manufacturer, its after-sales service or a similarly qualified 

person to avoid any hazards�

•  If the kettle has been over-filled, boiling water may be ejected�

•  WARNING: Position the lid in such a way that the steam is not 

directed toward the handle�

•  WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling�

•  The kettle must only be used with the base to which it is 

associated�

•  ATTENTION: Ensure that the kettle is switched off before 

removing it from the base�

•  The appliance must not be immersed in water�

•  This appliance is designed to be used for domestic and similar 

purposes such as:

 

– kitchens used by employees in shops, offices and other 

professional environments;

 

– farms;

 

– use by guests of hotels, motels and other residential 

environments;

 

– other bed and breakfast-type accommodation;

•  WARNING: avoid spillages on the connector�

•  WARNING: Beware the risk of injury if used incorrectly�

•  The surface of the heating element releases residual heat after 

use�
