Installation - compact loudspeakers
There is an original wall bracket for SA
saxo 1, 5 and 10 - see page 4. SA saxo 1,
5 and 10 can also be placed directly in a
bookcase. For the best sound quality,
ensure free air passage for the reflex port
on the back side of the speaker. Ensure
min. 5 cm / 1.96 inches of free space
behind the loudspeaker and on one side of
the loudspeaker. The included rubber pads
prevent the loudspeakers from sliding.
Installation - center channel speakers
SA saxo 10 is also ideal as a center
loudspeaker. Place the loudspeaker in a
horizontal position above or below the TV
screen on the included rubber pads. A
horizontal front is supplied along with the
loudspeakers and this is be used when the
speaker is placed in a horizontal position.
Installation
–
Floor standing speakers
SA saxo 40, 50 and 60 are designed to
stand on the floor. The speakers must be
placed at a distance of 20
–
40 cm / 7.87
–
15.74 inches from a wall. The distance
can be increased or reduced, depending on
the sound you want. After the break-in
period the speakers may be installed on
rubber pads or spikes
Rubber pads
The included rubber pads are used if the
speaker is placed on a hard surface, for
example, a wooden floor.
(B)
The distance from the side walls to
the speakers
Preferably greater than the distance to the
back wall. A short distance to the sidewalls
increases the amount of bass in the same
way as with
(A)
.
(C, D)
The distance between the
loudspeakers and the listening position
The ideal distance is 2,5
–
3 m / 8.2
–
9.84 ft.
Distances C & D should be the same. The
speakers should both be placed in an angle of
15 degrees.
New technology fills the room
with sound
A feature of SA saxo is the
special DXT-lens around the
tweeter.
The patented design makes the
living room full of sound. The
advantages of DXT are obvious.
Try to walk around the room and
enjoy music from every corner
Spikes (Sold separately)
We recommend that you use spikes if
the speakers are placed on a soft
surface, for example, a carpet. It is
important that the speakers are in a
vertical position and are not able to
move. Adjust the spikes and counter
nuts in order to ensure that the
spea
ker’s weight is distributed evenly
on all four spikes. When you are done
adjusting, tighten the nuts.
We recommend that you only use
spikes or rubber pads after the break-
in period, in order to make
adjustments and installation easier.
Example of setup
The sound output from the speakers
greatly depends on the way that the
speaker is setup.
Here is some general advice.
(A)
The distance between the
speakers and the wall behind
them
Start out with a distance of 20
cm / 7.87 inches from the
speaker to the wall. The
distance has to be the same for
both speakers. Try playing
some music you know, to help
out with what distance to the
wall gives the best sound in
your home.
Greater distance =
weaker
bass, more precise bass, better
precision/impact and greater
perspective
Less distance
= Louder and
softer bass, smaller sound
perspective.
