Cable Attachment to Swivel
1.
Take one cable with plastic coating removed, as per figure D, and feed it around the Thimble
which is inserted on the base of the Swivel as shown in figure B. Depending on height
requirement, see figure C, it may be necessary to strip more plastic off.
Note: When attaching wire rope clips, ensure the base is on the live end of the cable & the U-
bolt is on the short or dead end of the cable. (figure B1-B3).
Cable clamps must be fastened directly on steel cable (wire rope). Plastic must be stripped off
in this area if required.

Attach 1st clip as per figure B-1, no closer than one base width from dead end of cable. Tighten
nuts firmly but not completely tight.

Attach 2nd clip as per figure B-2, as close to loop as possible. Tighten nuts firmly but not
completely tight.

Attach 3rd clip as per figure B-3, equally spaced between the first two. Tighten nuts firmly but
not completely tight.
5.
Repeat steps 1 to 4 for 2nd cable.
6.
With your rings assembled to the cables recheck the distance (500 mm ±5 mm) between your
hanging cables, see figure C. If your measurement dose not fall within this range, the beam
clamps must be re-adjusted.

Proceed to Leveling and Height adjustment
