Functions of the CompTrol Interface expansion module
The following differences in temperature cause the fan speed to change:
Temperature difference
Fan speed
< 2 K
F1
2 to 3 K
F2
> 3 K
F3
Table 10:
Fan speeds dependent on temperature difference
Automatic fan speed control is available in programs 0, 2 and 4 to 7.
5.3.2 Forced mode
When forced mode is activated, the current status of digital input
D1
is constantly transferred to
the indoor unit via the X/Y remote control bus. The indoor unit can then no longer be switched via
the relevant wired remote control.
This function is activated/deactivated via DIP switch
S2-5
.
Forced mode can be enabled in the following programs:
–
Programs 0 and 3 to 9.
5.3.3 Inversion of digital outputs
DIP switch
S2-6
determines the logic behavior of the relays. The switching function of the relays
can be inverted with DIP switch
S2-6
. Options “NO” and “NC” are available. The position of DIP
switch
S2-6
always affects all digital outputs simultaneously. It is not possible to invert a single
digital output.
NO (normally open)
If no signal is present, the relay is de-energized and the contact is open. If a signal is present, the
relay is energized and the contact is closed.
NC (normally closed)
If no signal is present, the relay is energized and the contact is closed. If a signal is present, the
relay is de-energized and the contact is open.
Inversion of digital outputs is possible in all programs.
5.3.4 Signal boundary value monitoring
If a signal exceeds or falls below a boundary value at analog input
X3-S
, the temperature setpoint
23 °C is transferred to the indoor units. The temperature setpoint 23 °C is also transferred if ana

log input
X3-S
is open.
The relevant types of analog signal and the signal boundary values are set out in the table below:
Analog signal type
Signal boundary value
Specified temperature setpoint
4-20 mA
≤ 4.3 / > 19.7 mA
23 °C
0-20 mA
≤ 0.4 / > 19.6 mA
23 °C
0-10 V DC
≤ 0.2 / > 9.8 V DC
23 °C
0-5 V DC
≤ 0.1 / > 4.9 V DC
23 °C
