GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING
When using electric gardening appliances, basic
safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal
injury, including the following:

This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) who have limited understanding
or lack of experience and control, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their
safety.
n
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
n
Use transport guard during transport and storage.
n
The machine must be cleaned and maintained before
storage.
n
Secure the unit during transport to prevent loss of oil,
injury or damage.
n
Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator.
n
Do not use the machine in any position that causes
any part to come within 15m of overhead electrical
lines.
n
The operator should wear slip-resistant foot
protection as well as close fitting clothes, the use of
PPE and the need for adequate training, with PPE
including of hearing protection, eye protection, and
head protection .
n
Do not use the unit if you are tired, ill or under
influence of alcohol or other drugs
n
Hazards which may be encountered when using
the pruner and avoid them when carrying out typical
tasks, and keep bystanders away while operating the
machine.
n
Beware of falling branches or those rebound after
hitting the ground, remove these branches in sections
and not operate in the dangerous positions.
n
Keep a firm footing and balance during operation,
including the need to use the harness provided.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES

Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the appliance.
n
Only use in daylight or in good artificial light.
n
The appliance should be inspected and maintained
regularly. Repairs should be carried out only by an
authorised repairer.
n
For additional protection the installation of a residual
current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable.
n
Remove plug immediately from main if the cord is
damaged or cut.
n
After use, disconnect the machine from the mains
and check for damage.
n
When not in use store the machine out of the reach of
children.
n
Mains powered pruner should only be repaired by an
authorised repairer.
n
Do not expose to moisture.
n
Before use check the supply and extension cord for
signs of damage or ageing.
n
If the cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect
the cord immediately from the supply.
DO NOT TOUCH THE CORD BEFORE
DISCONNECTING THE SUPPLY.
n
Keep cords away from cutting elements.
n
WARNING! Cutting elements continue to rotate after
motor is switched off.
