MAINTENANCE

4

WARNING!

Wear safety goggles, a dust mask and ear defenders. The

whole sanding pad must rest on the work piece.

WARNING!

Do not use the sander in wet or damp conditions.

DUST EXTRACTION
WARNING!

Never use the sander unless the entire base is fitted with

sandpaper.

WARNING!

Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any

adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
For optimum dust extraction, remove and empty the dust

collection bag when it is no more than half full. Do not use

the bag when sanding metal. The hot metal particles could

cause residual wood dust or the internal bag itself to catch

fire. The bag can be washed. Make sure it.

WARNING!

Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is

removed from the power point before making any

adjustments or maintenance procedures.
Keep the tools air vents unclogged and clean at all times.
1. Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign matter has

blocked the ventilation holes of the tool or accumulated

around the trigger switch. Use a soft brush to remove any

accumulated dust. Wear safety glasses to protect your

    eyes whilst cleaning.
2. Re-Iubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
3. If the body of the sander needs cleaning, wipe it with a

soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be used but nothing

like alcohol, petrol or other cleaning agent. Never use

caustic agents to clean plastic parts.

CAUTION!

Water must never come into contact with the sander.

WARNING!

Repairs should always be done only by a qualified service

technician by using identical parts to ensure the integrity of

double insulation.

2. Grip the main handle in one hand and push down on the

front of the handle with the other hand.
3. Take care to hold the sander parallel to the work, and

    use only moderate pressure.
4. If there are still marks on your workpiece after sanding,

try either going back to a coarser grade paper and

sanding the marks out before resuming with the original

choice of grade, or try using a new piece of sandpaper to

eliminate the unwanted marks before toing on to a finer

    grade and finishing the job.
