CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Compact laminate is a high-pressure laminate that has been constructed from several
layers of kraft paper. This material is hard-waring and durable. It can be recycled as
combustible waste and forms carbon dioxide when burnt.
GENERAL CARE
Clean your furniture regularly. Visible dirt and spillages should be wiped away immediately.
Never place hot objects (e.g. saucepans and barbecue equipment) directly onto the table, as
it may leave ugly marks. Remember that if you leave objects like drinking glasses/vases in
strong sunlight, they can focus the sun’s rays and cause burn marks on the table top.
Wipe away any water that is left on the top.
CLEANING
• Use coasters and table mats to reduce the need of cleaning.
• Clean the laminate surface regularly with water and washing up liquid. Never use
abrasive cleaners such as scouring powder, steel wool, nylon sponges and the like as
this will score the surface.
• Difficult stains such as red wine, coffee or beetroot juice must be wiped off immediately.
Use a higher concentration of soap in the solution. Wipe the surface with a soft sponge.
Stubborn stains can be removed with methylated spirit, thinner or acetone (without oil).
STORAGE
Use a furniture cover to prevent the table surface from developing stains from the rain,
from becoming dirty (for example, from pollen) and from being bleached when you are not
using your furniture in the summer season. In the winter store your furniture indoors, in
a place that is cool and not too dry, for example a garage or store room. If you are using a
furniture cover, make sure that air can escape from the lower edge of the cover for good
ventilation. Always clean your furniture before storing it for the winter.
