Skateboard Retro
Do not make any adjustments to your skateboard that could jeopardise its safety. Always
use safety equipment such as a helmet, and knee, elbow and wrist pads. Also wear suitable
shoes and clothes
.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Before using your skateboard, check to make sure there are no cracks or any
other defects, and that all the screws, nuts and other fasteners are securely
tightened. Also check to make sure that the wheel bearings are in good
condition and that the steering mechanism has been correctly adjusted.
• Your skateboard requires continuous maintenance. The wheel bearings
and wheels are particularly important for the proper functioning of your
skateboard. It is therefore important to carry out regular maintenance
and to replace the wheel bearings and wheels in good time. For your own
safety, only use original parts, the same as you have used in the past.
• The screws and nuts are secured with lock lacquer or are self-locking.
For safety reasons, the self-locks, screws and nuts must be replaced
regularly, as the locking function deteriorates after repeated use. You can
buy lock lacquer at car parts stores.
• If your skateboard develops sharp edges or corners, you can easily file
them down to smooth them off as a safety precaution.
• Choose a suitable place to go skateboarding. It should be somewhere flat,
clean and dry, and free of any traffic. Be aware of other people around you
and follow the applicable laws and regulations. Adapt your speed, and
overtake cyclists, pedestrians and other skateboarders on the correct side.
Do not skateboard in water or sand as this can cause accidents.
• Use safety equipment such as a helmet, and knee, elbow and wrist pads
when you are skateboarding.
