Russound RFR-E5 Installation Manual
7
The RFR-E5 is powered by two lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The
batteries are accessed by removing the screw on the battery compartment
door on the back of the remote control.
NOTE:
Before first use, the batteries must be installed in the RFR-E5 and
charged for three hours by placing the remote in the cradle.
The battery charge level can be checked by reviewing the battery icon at
the top of the home screen. A solid dark icon means the batteries are fully
charged; a solid white icon means the batteries need to be charged. When
the RFR-E5 remote is docked in its cradle, the battery icon scrolls to indicate
charging and shows a solid black icon when charging is complete.
If the RFR-E5 is left off the charging cradle for a long period of time, the
batteries will eventually go dead. If this happens, dock the remote in the
cradle, making sure the charging contacts fit snugly. The RFR-E5 screen will
remain blank until it has enough power to display the battery icon.
