3 Put the plug into the power socket.
4 Remove the lid.
5 Put the rack on top of the reservoir.
6 Use the jug to measure the water.
7 There are three sets of measures, for hard, medium, or soft eggs.
8 Each set of measures is marked from 1-7 eggs.
9 These measures apply to boiled and poached eggs.
10 Choose the type of egg (hard

, soft

) and number of eggs (1-7), and fill the jug
to the correct mark.
11 Pour the water through the rack, into the reservoir.

BOILED EGGS
12 Use the egg pricker on the bottom of the jug to prick the big end of each egg.
13 Sit the eggs – big end down – on the rack.

POACHED EGGS
14 Sit one, two, or three poachers on top of the rack, one poacher for each egg.
15 If you’re poaching one or two eggs, don’t fit the unused poacher(s).
16 Crack one egg into each poacher.

17 Fit the lid.
18 Move the switch to
1
. The light will glow.
19 Wait till the buzzer sounds.
20 Move the switch to
0
. The light will go off.

SERVE THE EGGS

Steam and hot air will escape when you lift the lid
21 Use your thumb and forefinger to grip the lid by the handle.
22 Tilt the lid to keep the steam and hot air away from your fingers, and lift it off.
23 Use oven gloves to remove the boiled eggs or the poachers from the rack.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
24 Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning or storing away.
25 Clean the outside surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.
26 Don’t use washing-up liquid in the reservoir. It may leave a residue that taints your eggs.
27 You may clean the lid, rack and poachers in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly afterwards,
to remove all traces of soap.
28 Don’t put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.
