5. Press the lever down fully.
It won’t lock down unless the toaster is connected to
the electricity supply.
6. The status lights will count down
– blue / purple / red / green.
7. When it
’s done, the status lights will all be off and the toast will pop up.
Eject
To stop the toaster mid-cycle
before it’s finished, press the eject button. The
toast will pop up, and the elements will turn off.

Defrost bread
1. This feature takes the guesswork out of defrosting bread.
2. Leave the browning control at your favoured setting, put the frozen bread into the
slots, lower the bread carriage lever and then press the defrost button.
3. The defrost light will come on, and the toasting time will be altered automatically
to give the same degree of browning you get with unfrozen bread.
Caution:
D
on’t try to defrost bread – you’ll probably damage the toaster
Be careful:
a) Toasting frozen bread changes ice to steam, which escapes via the toasting slots
b) Defrosting bread on a low setting changes ice to water, which drips into the
toaster, over the electronics and maybe the elements which will cause damage to
the toaster.
Reheating toast
1. You must only reheat plain, unbuttered toast.
2. Turn the browning control to the Reheat setting.
3. Press the bread carriage lever down fully
– it won’t lock down unless the toaster
is connected to the electricity supply.
4. The reheat light will come on.
5.
When it’s done, the toast will pop up, the reheat light will go out, and the
elements will turn off automatically.
