• The cut cannot be made straight.

Be sure to use appropriate gloves when handling the chain.
Before sharpening:

Make sure it is fixed well in place.
▪
Make sure the engine is stopped.
▪
Use a round file of the right size for your chain.
▪
Place the file on the chain teeth and push straight
forward. Hold the file in the position shown. (Fig. 33)

Dismount the guide bar and check that the lubrication port
is not clogged with oil.

(a) Using a hook, remove the filter from the hole.

(b) Disassemble the filter and wash with petrol or
replace it with a new one if necessary.
• after removing the filter, use a pair of pliers to hold the
end of the supply hose.
• when assembling the filter, be careful not to allow
filter particles or dust to enter the supply hose.
