13. STORING THE MACHINE
If you do not use the chainsaw for a long time (more than a week), proceed as follows:
•
Clean the chainsaw.
•
Drain the fuel from the tank.
•
Start the chainsaw and let it run until the fuel in the carburettor is consumed
and the chainsaw stops. This operation is necessary to prevent petrol
evaporating from the mixture, which can cause the carburettor orifice to
become clogged by deposits of remaining oil.
•
Store it in a dry place, out of the reach of children.
