Frequently Asked Questions

1.

Q:

What should I do, if my company card does not accept the APDU packet from a server?

A:

Our APDU packet is encoded and you must use a

Tacho-library 1.1

library to decode it. Please ask our

technical support for the tachograph communication user manual.

2.

Q:

What should I do, if my tachograph does not authorize?

A:

Please check if you have some other third-party devices connected to the tachograph. They might be

asking for data packets at the same time while you are trying to authorize.

3.

Q:

Why are the driver activity fields in records empty?

A:

The driver could have locked the tachograph with a card from another company and you are trying to

download the information with your card.

4.

Q:

What should I do, if my downloaded file is corrupted?

A:

If in your downloaded data period there is a day with a bad file signature, you can get a corrupted file.

You should read the same data period file from the tachograph front via a special device and check your

file validity with an authorized third-party software. If the entire file is invalid, then there is a problem with

your tachograph.

5.

Q:

What should I do if there are corrupted tachograph data fields?

A:

Please check for the following error in the .DDD file

Events and fault

block,

Events data

part:

Vehicle

unit related security breach attempt events

 Stored user data integrity error

. If you have one, please take

your tachograph to a tachograph service for a VU (Vehicle Unit) investigation.

6.

Q:

Why is the .DDD file download process unstable?

A:

Please check if your tachograph is connected to the FMS line. If yes, try to connect the tracking device

to the tachograph directly (socket

C

, pins 5, 7, 8).
