BEFORE MOVING ON, ATTACH ONE END OF THE HOOD STRUT AND CHECK FOR ANY POSSIBLE
INTERFERENCE’S THEIR MAYBE ON THE FENDERWELL
Step 5:
Moving to the hood, measure up 19 ½” from the bottom edge, and mark a spot approximately 2” from the outside
edge. Measure in from the outside edge 2”, this will make the L bracket with ball stud roughly about an 1/8” to the
inside edge of the hood insulation. Using the L bracket w/ball stud mark the 2 holes to be drilled. The L bracket
with ball stud can be moved out as far as 20”, but no less than 19 ½”. 19 ½” will provide maximum hood lift.

Step 6:
Using a 5/64” drill bit drill out the marked holes.
NOTE:
TO PROTECT THE OUTTER HOOD SURFACE FROM
DAMAGE WRAP, THE DRILL BIT USING A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE ONLY ALLOWING AN 1/8” OF DRILL BIT
SHOWING. THIS WILL PREVENT THE DRILL BIT GOING TO FAR AND POSSIBLY DIMPLING THE HOOD. (Fig.10 &
