Resetting CM and AP to Factory Default Settings Simultaneously
Using the Reset Shunt
5. Press the reset switch (refer to “Step 2: Supply DC Power to the CMAP” on page 10)
for 10 seconds.
The LEDs briefly turn off when the CMAP resets the CM and AP components to their factory
default settings and reboots. When the far-right
green LED comes on, the CMAP has
completed the reset process.
Using the Reset Shunt
You can also reset both the CM and AP components to their factory default settings at the
same time by shorting pins 3 and 4 on the DC connector (see
Figure 34 ). Use the electrical
shunt that is provided with the CMAP package to perform this procedure.
NOTE: The CMAP can only be reset to factory default if it is using PoE.
1. Verify that the CMAP is using PoE as its power source.
2. Take out the electrical shunt that is supplied with the CMAP package.
3. If the DC connector on the CMAP is protected by its cap, remove the cap. Take note
of the location of pins 3 and 4 (see
Figure 34 ).
4. Install the shunt on pins 3 and 4.
5. Wait 10 seconds, and then remove the shunt.
The LEDs briefly turn off when the CMAP reboots. When the far-right green LED comes
on, the CMAP has completed the reset process.
You have completed resetting the CM and AP components to their factory default settings.
