USB Enumeration
If the scanner is connected to the Host via a USB connection, the scanner will be enumerated using S/N or

after power-up.
Enumeration using S/N
enables the Host to distinguish even between
scanners of same model.
Enumeration using

disables the Host from distinguishing between
scanners of same model.
Driver installation is required for each USB device distinguished from others by the Host in the process of
enumeration.
USB HID-KBW
When you connect the scanner to the Host via a USB connection, you can enable the
USB HID-KBW
feature
by scanning the barcode below. Then scanner
’
s transmission will be simulated as USB keyboard input. The
Host receives keystrokes on the virtual keyboard. It works on a Plug and Play basis and no driver is required.
