Knot-on-Knot
A ‘knot-on-knot’ is useful for tying the end of a rope to a sail or a fitting, and is
particularly reliable due to the manner in which the rope binds upon itself.
Tie a single overhand knot in the end of
the rope. Feed the rope through the sail
or the fitting, and tie another overhand
knot in the rope.
Pull the rope tight so that the rope binds
on the original overhand knot.
