Using steam: making cappuccino coffees
and hot drinks
Check that the water tank contains enough
water.
Engage the filter holder fully until you hear
a click.
Set the control selector to position /.
The lights will come ON. The operating tem-
perature will be reached when light goes
OFF. Plunge the steam nozzle in the liquid
you want to heat or froth. Do not allow the
liquid to come above the black ring.
Set the control selector to position
The steam will be pushed through the
liquid. The pump will run intermittently, this
is normal. To obtain good, even froth on
milk, make circular and up and down move-
ments with the jug and use very fresh cold,
full-cream milk or fresh long-life skimmed
milk.
Once you have finished, set the control selector to position "0".
Immediately and carefully clean the steam nozzle with a wet sponge.
Caution: both the nozzle and the liquid will be extremely hot. Take
care to avoid injury through scalding.
Making a cappuccino coffee:
Always prepare coffee first. First heat up a large cup, and then fill to about a 1/3 of its capa-
city with expresso coffee. Heat and froth cold milk in another container using the steam
nozzle. Pour the milk and froth into the coffee and then sprinkle with cocoa powder.
