Attention
: Do not release the filter
holder while the selector is in
position (15)
.
You can also brew coffee directly
by turning the selector to position
(15)
, the indicator light (20) will
blink and stays on while the machine
is reaching temperature and remain
permanently on while the coffee runs
through automatically.
To stop the flow of coffee turn the
selector to the OFF setting (16) .
Due to the way it works, you will see
a small amount of residual water
inside the filter after the coffee has
been prepared.
PREPARING COFFEE WITH
ESPRESSO PODS
Apart from ground Espresso coffee
this coffee maker can also use a
selected measure of coffee, ground
and pressed between two filter
papers.
This option offers you the possibility
of preparing delicious Espresso
coffee, quickly and with no mess.
And because the pods are
individually packed and hermetically
sealed, this guarantees that the
coffee retains all of its flavour.
There are two types of Espresso
pods available on the market.
A- 60 mm flexible (loose) coffee
pods, suitable for drip-fed coffee
makers and percolators.
B- 44 mm packed coffee pods,
specially for Espresso machines.
Your coffee maker will not operate
correctly with 60 mm flexible coffee
pods as they do not fit properly in
the filter holder.
Always use packed coffee pods of
approximately 44 mm diameter with
this coffee maker, see figure 10.
These Espresso pods can be found at
your usual retailers.
To use Espresso pod, place the
cream disc (13) and the filter (14) into
the filter holder (9),
figure 11
.
Place the Espresso pod in the filter
figure 11
. Tear excess paper from
pod at perforated edge
(figure 12)
.
Place the Espresso pod with the RED
MARKING FACE DOWN (bend the
paper corner down).
Take care to put all the paper inside
the filter or you will have some drips.
Placing the Espresso pod correctly
will create a richer, thicker crema.
Fit the filter holder (9) into its
housing. Turn the filter holder to the
right until it stops,
figure 5
. Do not
force it.
To prepare the coffee, please
proceed as for preparing Espresso
with ground coffee.
HOT WATER FUNCTION
To obtain hot water turn the selector
to position (18) .The indicator light
(20) will start to blink. When the
indicator light (20) stays on, the
coffee maker will have reached the
right temperature for this function.
Place a jug or cup below the steam
nozzle (3). Turn the selector (7) to
position (19)
. At the same time
time, open the steam control (6)

so that hot water comes out
