TROUBLESHOOTING
Device is not working
Troubleshooting:
o
Check the mains connection.
o
Check the position of the thermostat.
Other possible causes:
o
The device is fitted with a safety switch (7).
This prevents the heater being switched on accidentally.
Check that the control element is correctly in place.
Overheating Protection
o
If you should accidentally switch on your deep fat fryer when there is no oil or fat in
it, the overheating protection will automatically be activated. The appliance is no
longer ready to be used. Unplug the deep fryer.
o
Only after the device has been left to cool down completely should the
“
RESTART
”
button (8) on the rear of the control element be operated in order to use the deep
fat fryer again. For this, you should use a plastic or wooden object that is the least 4
cm long.

DISPOSAL

For proper disposal, please return device to a retailer, a service agent or Rotel AG.
o
European Directive 2012/19/EC concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equip-
ment (WEEE) states that household appliances should not be disposed of using the
normal solid urban waste cycle. Exhausted appliances should be collected separate-
ly in order to optimise the cost of re-using and recycling materials comprising the
machine, while preventing potential damage to public health and the environment.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol appears on all products to remind owners of
the obligations regarding separate waste collection. Owners should contact their lo-
cal authorities or appliance dealers for further information concerning the correct
disposal of household appliances.
