5.
Drill a 10-mm (7/16”) hole for the cable. If the surface is metal,
place a grommet or electrical tape around the edge of the hole.
6.
Insert the unit’s cable wire into the cable hole and wire the unit
as described in Section
7.
Screw the back cover to its mounting location.
8.
Carefully re-attach the front cover of the unit.
9.
Secure the front cover by using the supplied security Torx
screw. A Torx security screw tool is provided to tighten the
security Torx screw.

Wiring
The units are supplied with a 10-conductor 46-cm (18-in.) pigtail
with exposed wires coated with solder.
The reader's power supply must either share the access
controller's power supply or a common ground with the
access control system.
To connect the reader to the controller:
1.
Select the appropriate connections according to Table 1.
