Install the ULTRITOUCH-RTR License Key
Ross Video uses license keys to control user access to specific Ultritouch features. In the case of an Ultrix router,
you must install the ULTRITOUCH-RTR license key on the Ultritouch before it can communicate with a router.
Set up Communications between the Ultritouch and the Ultrix
Communication between Ultritouch and the Ultrix router is over ethernet via an established connection point. A
connection point defines the interface and the protocol to be used for communication.
Load the Ultritouch Soft Panel to Ultritouch
The main toolbar on the Ultritouch provides a method for navigating to the soft panels available in your routing
system. Loading a soft panel to an Ultritouch is similar to loading a soft panel to an Ultrix router or Ultricore
Central Controller: from the main toolbar you locate the soft panel in the Panel tree of the database (panels are listed
in a hierarchy as determined by Panel ID), and open it.
Do not load a soft panel that is not designed specifically for an Ultritouch. A soft panel, other than one designed
using the Ultritouch PB template, may not display correctly on the Ultritouch screen.
Use the Ultritouch Soft Panel
The layout of an Ultritouch soft panel automatically organizes the destinations, sources, and levels into distinct
columns of buttons. Refer to the section “
Elements of an Ultritouch Soft Panel
” on page 12 for more information.
