Initial Power-Up
1. Ensure that the ACO-4400A is not powered on.
2. Connect the ACO-4400A as shown in Figure 3.1 . Ensure that the ACO-4400A output is
properly terminated at the monitoring device.

3. Apply power to the ACO-4400A by connecting it to the power source(s). The instrument
runs its power-on initialization process.
4. Check that no error messages appear on the LCD display. You may see a message that
relates to missing inputs. This will be because the ACO-4400A is configured to monitor
more channels than you currently have signals connected. If you are sure that you want
to cancel the message and continue with the procedure, press the Rotary Control once
5. Much of the functional check can be carried out immediately. However, some
calibration settings are only guaranteed once functional temperature has stabilized
(which should occur after 20 minutes). It is good practice to soak the instrument before
proceeding.
Note
— The signal inputs are nominally different in order to easily verify which signal is
switched to the output.
