RC213

i.

The installation of RC-213 by floppy drive will be completed right now. The system will detect the HD which plugs on

 the card right now.

After you install RC-213 successfully by floppy disk, installation will lead you back to Windows Setup. System will

ask you if you want to specify additional SCSI adapter for use in Windows. Please press “enter” to left the setting.

j.

Once the system can find the HD connecting to RC-213, you can follow the normal steps to complete the Windows

    installation.

3.

If you want to create a mirror set by a HD with existing OS and a fresh HD,

the data on existing HD will copy to

another fresh HD and boot as RAID 1 HD set. In this case, you will boot your computer from a Mirror HD set

connecting to RC213 instead of motherboard. Please follow the following instructions.

a.

Install RC-213 into a PCI slot. Boot up the system and enter the OS. Install RC-213 with driver disk coming in

    the box.

b.

After RC-213 installation complete, turn off PC. Take the original system HD off from motherboard and connect to

RC-213. Take another fresh HD to connect to RC-213 to set a mirror.

c.

Turn on PC and enter the RAID BIOS to set a mirror set. Choose “Manual” during the installation and select the

original HD as the data source to complete mirror copy. The copy will take a long time depending on your HD

capability. After data copy complete, save and left RAID BIOS.

Important message:

If you choose the wrong HD source at the step of “manual”, all your data will be lost.

d. Reboot your PC and now you can enter your OS with RAID 1.
