RESTORING THE
FACTORY DEFAULTS
How to restore the
factory default settings
Use the following sequence to restore the 3490 Series Control Unit to the
factory defaults, erasing all user entered data:
•
Use the "Remove" option of the '3490 TRANSMITTER' Wizard for all
connected transmitters. This will clear the memory of any transmitter data
that has been uploaded from a HART transmitter.
•
Navigate to the DEFAULTS menu, as guided in Figure D-1.
•
Press the red (ENTER) button
twice
and then wait for a short beep.
•
Switch-off the 3490 Series Control Unit.
•
Disconnect the second transmitter (3492 only).
•
Turn to “Switching on” on page 4-3, to start again.
NOTE:
The factory defaults may not be the same as the settings when shipped from
the factory. It is advisable to keep a record of settings, if possible.
