             Rosedale Products, Inc. Model 8 & Multi Bag, Single Pass (

SP

) and Recirculating System

(

RS

) basket assembly has been designed to allow for easy installation and replacement of various

filter media’s.

Rosedale Products, Inc. recommends using a bag filter down stream from the 

SP

 or 

RS

basket assembly to filter out any contaminations the Filter Media may introduce into the system.

Type of filter media is dependent on your particular filtering requirements.  If Carbon Filter

Media is used it is recommended to rinse the Carbon to remove unwanted dust & to prevent

contamination of down stream fluids. 

Rosedale Products  Model 8 & Multi Bag, SP and RS basket assembly consist of the

following parts (See diagram on page 4).

Basket

O-ring seal

3.

Screw on cover

4.

Filter media (customer to order separately)

5.

Basket seal (supplied with housing) 

Filter Media Installation

1.

Remove (unscrew) cover from basket assembly.

2.

Remove O-ring seal from groove in basket support web.  Inspect O-ring for cracks 

and/or splitting.  Replace if damaged.

3.

Add filter media in media fill area (3 slots in top of basket support ring).

4.

Clean excess media from O-ring groove and off top of basket support ring.

5.

Place O-ring seal in clean O-ring groove.

6.

Replace basket cover and tighten down to seal.

7.

Inspect basket seal for cracks and/or splitting. Replace if damaged.

8.

Install basket seal.

8.1 In housing (M-8)

8.2 In basket flange (MB)

9.

Install basket in filter housing and secure cover.

10.

Follow standard Filter System Start-Up Procedure found in the filter
