– Function Hands Free
The IS2100-M G-II has a feature called "Hands Free", which allows the user to change the siren
tones using the steering wheel horn switch. This function is activated whenever any siren tone is
turned on, except the tone "Man" and "Horn".
When the hands-free function is active, the internal relay is activated by disconnecting the vehicle
horn. The sequence of tones changed by the flywheel continues the table 6
Notes
:
* As soon as the Hands-free function is active, the vehicle horn does not work.
* The steering switch signal can be either positive (12V) or negative (GND), depending on the vehicle.
Pin 1 of the 10 pin connector (input 1) must be energized in accordance with this polarity. If the
steering signal is positive, pin 1 should be connected to 12V or stay loose. If the signal is negative,
pin 1 should be connected to GND, as shown in figures 6 and 7.
To turn off the siren tones you must press the flywheel by 2 seconds. To disable the Hands-free
function, press the key of the siren tone that is active.

– Digital Output
The 8 digital outputs of 250 mA of the IS2100-M G-II have protection against short-circuits, by
monitoring the current at the time that the outputs are activated. If the current exceeds the 250 mA at
the time that the output is turned on, it will be active as well for more than 25 ms, when doing a new
monitoring of current. If at this moment if the current is below 250mA, will be considered normal (the
load is capacitive), but if after this time if the continuous output current greater than 250 mA, all
outputs will be disabled and an error message will be indicated in the LEDs on the microphone, as
indicated in the figure 8 and the data in table 7.
