MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
All of the following wear points should be checked on a monthly basis and recorded on the
checklist included.
•
Lift eye bolt covers at the bottom of each rope and check eye bolts for wear
•
Check the metal lining on the rope where it rubs against the eye bolt for wear
•
Look for metal dust or broken metal
•
Check all points where movement occurs for wear of any kind
•
Check safety snaps for wear
•
Check the cover for ripped or torn places. There are metal button sized fasteners on the
ends of the bolster. If these are loose or missing, discontinue use until repaired.
•
If rope splice locks are loose or missing, discontinue use until repaired.
•
If ropes are fraying discontinue use and contact ROMPA®.
SAFETY
1. Observe and work to the working load – this is 180kg (400 lbs).
2. All equipment including the Suspension System should be regularly checked - see
Maintenance Checklist.
3. Never use without professional supervision.
4. A crash mat of the appropriate thickness should be placed under and around all suspended
equipment.
5. Wall matting should also be used.
6. Only Steel Safety Snaps should be used. Aluminium Safety Snaps present a health hazard
and wear more quickly.
7. Do not use outside.
8. Use helmets where necessary.
This product is not a toy. Any activity involving motion, height, or rotation may cause serious
injury. This product is intended for use under the supervision of trained professionals.
Always supervise the use of this product.
STORAGE AND CLEANING
Store out of direct sunlight.
Store where not accessible by clients without proper supervision.
Periodically wipe the bolster and ropes with a clean, slightly damp cloth and a mild cleaning
product or disinfectant.
