To use the torch in candle mode, unscrew the whole head of the torch and invert the head.
Place the tail end of the torch into the inverted head, like a candle.

Turn in the opposite direction to switch off the torch. Switch off after use to preserve the
batteries.

Check batteries for leakage

Replace used batteries immediately

Remove the batteries if the torch will not be used for prolonged periods (once a month or
less)

Place a small amount of petroleum jelly on all threads and rubber O-rings every six months

drop the torch

strike the torch against hard surfaces
There is a spare lamp inside the tail cap. To change the lamp: unscrew the entire head
assembly and gently pull the lamp from the socket. Make sure the new lamp pins are straight,
and insert them into the socket. Use only replacement lamps of the same specification. These

BATTERY CARE
Do not mix old/new batteries or different types of batteries or different brands of batteries.
Use only alkaline batteries.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Remove exhausted batteries – replace whole sets not just one.
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Observe the polarity indicated and noted above.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire
TROUBLESHOOTING
In the unlikely event of problems, please check the following:
Torch failure
Check the lamp and replace as necessary
Check the batteries and replace as necessary
Torch does not turn on or stay on
Check the tail cap. The metal surfaces contacting the barrel, tail cap and spring assembly
should be shiny metal without obstruction between them. Any corrosion or foreign substance
should be carefully removed.
