Playing along with music from a portable audio player
Use MIX IN jack to connect your MP3 player, CD or other audio source.
1.
Connect it to the TD-9’s MIX IN jack as shown in the illustration.
2.
Using an external audio source.
For details, refer to the owner’s manual of your audio player.
* The sound received at MIX IN will be output from the main OUTPUT and PHONES jacks.
* The volume/audio level from the external source will determine the balance between it and the level of
your playing on the TD-9. Adjust accordingly.
Playing along with songs from a USB memory key
After you have saved songs on your USB memory key from your
computer, you can use this as an external audio source to play
along with.
1.
Press the [SHIFT] + [SONG] buttons.
The [SONG] button will light, and the “EXTERNAL SONG” screen
appears.
2.
Use the [+/-] buttons or turn the [VALUE] dial.
Audio files saved on the USB key will be shown following the on-
board songs; choose the song you want to hear.
3.
Press the [
] button.
The [
] button will light up, and playback begins. When you
press the [
] button once again, the button goes dark and
playback stops.

New horizons by using USB keys
The TD-9’s USB port allows you to
use audio data saved to a USB key for
practice or live performances.
IMPORTANT: Only audio files in the
following formats can be used.
