-To pour hot water, remove the container from its base.
-To prevent hot steam from being emitted, ensure that the lid remains closed while pouring out the
water.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality in your area, lime deposits may build up on the heating element. It
is advisable to remove any such deposits at regular intervals. A mixture of 0.5 liters of water to two
tablespoons of vinegar essence is suitable.
-Pour the descaler in.
-Switch the appliance on and let the solution reach boiling point.
-Leave it to take effect for a short period.
-To clean the container after descaling, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

General cleaning and care

Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled
down completely.

To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the kettle and the base with water and do not
immerse them in water. Do not clean under running water.

For cleaning, a slightly damp, lint-free cloth may be used.

Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions, and do not use hard brushes for cleaning.

1. The instructions for cordless kettles shall state that the kettle is only to be used with the stand
provided.
