Prior to any work with the steady rest, please check fest that
all hydraulic, pneumatic and electric drive units have been
switched off. Approaching the gripping arms whilst they are in
motion is dangerous.

If work on the clamping inserts is required, special care is
necessary as these parts have very sharp and cutting edges.
