Use
4.1.
Intended use

The TS 20 Pugmill is intended for the preparation and homogenisation of clay and porcelain bodies.
⇒
The machine can also be used to mix different ceramic bodies together or to mix in chamotte.
⇒
The machine is not suitable for preparing powdered clay with water or for producing ceramic bodies. This
requires a closed system such as a slaking basin or a kneading mixer.

The machine may only be used in the way described in the operating instructions.
⇒
The machine must not be used beyond the use described above.
⇒
All information and safety regulations in the operating instructions must be followed.
⇒
All safety instructions attached to the machine must be followed.
⇒
The machine may only be operated by briefed or trained specialist personnel.

Children and young people under the age of 18 are not allowed to operate or use the machine.
⇒
Mentally and physically handicapped people are not allowed to operate or use the machine.
⇒
Persons who are physically impaired due to limitations (illness, medication or after consumption of alcohol)
may not operate the machine.

The machine may only be used for the intended purpose and as supplied. Subsequent changes or
adjustments by users or operators are not permitted and make use as intended by the manufacturer
impossible.

Reasonably foreseeable misuse

Use of unsuitable materials

Use of hazardous substances that are released in dangerous concentrations.

Use of unapproved spare and wear parts

Use of unapproved consumables, cleaning or other agents.

Installation in an unsuitable place

Failure to comply with the recommended maintenance intervals or improper maintenance.

Failure to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance

Failure to clean the machine properly

Delivery
5.1.
Checking the delivery
As a rule, the pugmill is delivered by a shipping provider. Immediately after delivery, check that there is no visible
damage to the packaging. If this is the case, unpack the machine immediately in the presence of the driver and
check the product thoroughly for damage. Photograph any damage and document it immediately on the delivery
note. Be sure to have the driver countersign the documented damage on the delivery note. Keep one copy of the
complaint for your files. Inform the shipping agency immediately of the damage. Complaints submitted at a later
date cannot be considered.
5.2.
Unpacking the machine
Be sure to remove all packaging materials.
