6 Carefully and evenly press the sealing strip upwards
over its entire length, against the sealing rail on the kiln
casing.
⇒ The optimum seal can be achieved due to
the slant of the sealing strip.
⇒ The sealing strip is attached higher
towards the front of the kiln than towards
the back wall of the kiln.
⇒ This means that the sealing strip does not
rub against the kiln casing when it is
extended and retracted.
⇒
However, it seals the ELS kiln floor from
the kiln casing when it is fully retracted.
7 Tighten the bolts (3x) again. Tool:
Allen key
8 Check the position of the sealing strip in relation to the
sealing rail by extending and retracting the ELS kiln
floor.
⇒ When moving the kiln floor, the sealing
strip must not rub against the kiln casing.
⇒ If the ELS kiln floor is completely retracted,
the sealing strip should rest evenly over the
entire length against the sealing rail on the
kiln casing.
9 Adjust the 2nd sealing strip as well.

13.9. Aligning the drive mechanism of the ELS kiln floor
If the drive mechanism of the ELS kiln floor does not work properly and smoothly, it must be checked and aligned.
Step Action Remark
1 Switch off the kiln and let it cool down.
2 Open the kiln door.
3 Check whether the guide rollers are dirty. If necessary, remove any dirt from the guide
rollers.
