DM Lists
The following section brings together the commands for defining and managing the data
lists and control lists for digital modulation.
Lists are stored as files with specific file extensions in a user-definable directory (see
). The directory which applies to the commands that follow is defined using the
command
MMEMory:CDIR
. Files in this directory can be accessed by quoting the file
name. The path and extension are not needed.

It is not possible to use other file extensions with the commands. Attempting to do so will
cause an error message. If the file extension is changed in any other way (e.g. by directly
accessing the file system) the lists are no longer recognized and therefore invalid.
Since the format of control lists refer to the input, the
CLISt
commands always create a
binary control list, even if ASCII format is specified. Note therefore, if you want to create
a
*.wv
file with R&S WinIQSIM2 using a control list, you have to use the input control
list in ASCII format. See the example in
chapter 7.3.3, "Creating an ASCII C-List Man-
, on page 455 for information on how to create a C-list in ASCII format.
