Use with Other Audio Sources
Students with hearing aids or cochlear implants are not be able to effectively use headphones or earbuds to listen
to the sound from laptops, Chromebooks, iPad, etc.
The Roger Touchscreen can broadcast the audio from any multimedia device (computer, iPad, etc) to its network
(in this case your student’s hearing aids/cochlear implant).
1.
Plug one end of the 3.5 mm cable into the audio out (headphone) jack.
2.
Plug other end into Roger Touchscreen 3.5 mm (audio) jack.
3.
Select Input.
Operating Range
Up to 25 meters (50-60 feet)between the transmitter and receiver. If the distance between the devices is greater
than 25 meters, the signal will be interrupted.
For Audiologists
Use with Aux Audio
A menu pops up with options:
Input
Output (computer)
Output (tablet)

Teachers sometimes see the word computer and switch to Output (computer).

It needs to remain on
Input
for audio coming INTO the Roger microphone.

The two output options are if you need to send the audio OUT from the Roger touchscreen into a tablet or
PC running CART or recording software.
Check Connectivity and Link Quality of Receiver
1.
Swipe to screen 2.
2.
Hold the Touchscreen within 4 inches of each receiver (separately).
3.
Tap CHECK and you will be able to read out receiver and determine if the connectivity and link quality is
adequate.
4.
If icons are grayed out on the screen, you do not have access.
The System is set up as a Quick Menu and you will need a password to activate these features. Please contact your
educational audiologist.
Reboot Touchscreen
1.
Press and hold ON/OFF button and MUTE buttons simultaneously for at least 8 seconds.
2.
The indicator light will blink green and microphones will automatically reboot (turn on and off again).
3.
This is used to clean up session memory (including protection passwords or if screen freezes).
