Installing Hard Drives
1. Open the drive door by pressing the door lock downwards.
2. If the drive tray is locked, open the drive tray lock.
3. Remove one drive tray.
4. Place the disk drive in the drive tray. Make sure the holes of the disk drive align with the
holes of the drive tray.
5. Install the mounting screws to secure the disk drive into the drive tray.
6. Insert the drive tray into the slot. If the RAID is powered on, the HDD Status LED will
change from red into “no light” which means the drive has been detected.
Creating Raid Set and Volume Set Open web browser in a PC or MAC. Make sure your PC or
MAC have network connection to the RAID’s IP address.
1. Type in http://192.168.1.100 , or if you have DHCP server, use the dynamic IP address
obtained from your DHCP server.
2. A user name and password will be required to login. Default user name is “admin” and
default password is “00000000.”
3. After login, the RAID Manager GUI will be displayed.
4. Select “Raid Set Functions” and click “Create Raid Set.” Select the disk drives that will be
included in the Raid Set. Change the Raid Set Name if needed. Tick “Confirm the
Operation” and click “Submit.” The Raid Set will be created.
