Product matching the serial number information in
Appendix B that has been factory updated to correct for
the anomaly will be marked with a deviation label. The
deviation label will be located on the product under the
product nameplate and on the carton near the carton
label. The deviation label will be “D517262”.
Product with this deviation label is not affected and no
action is required on your part.
Product identification may be made through a network connection by using the web browser based Device Manager
tool, RSLinx, or the product’s command-line interface (CLI). This tools may be used to report the product CIP
number or MAC ID number. You will still need to check for the physical deviation label prior to returning product, as
described above.
To use Device Manager:
1.
Connect your computer to the same network as the Stratix 5410 switch and open your web browser.
2.
In the browser’s address window, enter the IP address of the switch you wish to connect to.
3.
When prompted, enter the switch name and password.

You may also use RSLinx to identify potentially affected product. To use RSLinx:
1.
Connect your computer to the same network as the Stratix 5410 switch and open RSLinx.
2.
Open the RSWho network tool.
3.
On the listing of network devices, find the Stratix 5410 switch you wish to identify. Double-click the device
entry to open the properties dialog.
In Device Manager, the product identification
information will be shown in the Switch Information
listing. The catalog number will be in the “Product ID”
field, the CIP number will be in the CIP Serial Number
field, and the MAC ID will be in the MAC Address field.
In the example to the left, the catalog number is 1783-
IMS28NAC, the CIP number is 60159219 and the MAC
Address is F4:54:33:17:D8:80. Note that this product is
not included in the Appendix B listing and is not part of
the potentially affected population.
