You can disable the keypad, if you wish.
The keypad disable switch is covered with a hole plug.
1.
Remove the plug with a small screwdriver.
2.
Slide the switch to the right to disable the keypad.
The left position keeps the keypad enabled.
3.
Replace the plug when you are finished.

If the keypad is disabled and a key is pressed, the LEDs on the front
flash back and forth for about 5 seconds, indicating that the keypad is
locked out.
