PRODUCT SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS

The edges of a cabinet scraper can be very sharp. Exercise 

  caution when handling the cabinet scraper and keep hands 

  away from the cutting edge to avoid personal injury.

Some dust, fumes and gases created by sanding, sawing, 

  grinding, drilling, welding and other construction activities 

  contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause 

  cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For 

File Edge

1.

  Secure the cabinet card scraper in a vise, with the edge to 

  be sharpened at the top.

2.

  Position the 3-in-1 Cabinet Scraper Sharpening Tool so the 

  embedded file will contact the dull edge of the scraper. The 

  area of the tool marked “1 File” will be against the edge of the 

  scraper, keeping the scraper at 90° to the file.

3.

  Make 10 to 15 passes with the Sharpening Tool along the 

  entire edge of the scraper to remove the dull edge and create 

  a new square edge.

Hone Edge

1.

  With the cabinet scraper still secured in the vise, flip the 

  Sharpening Tool so the embedded diamond hone is against 

  the edge you just filed. The area of the tool marked “2 Hone” 

  will be against the edge of the scraper, keeping the scraper at 

  90° to the diamond hone.

2.

  Make 10 to 15 passes with the Sharpening Tool along the 

  entire edge of the scraper to hone the edge.

Cabinet scrapers become dull very quickly. 

Expect to sharpen a scraper multiple times during use.

Do 

NOT

 let the edge of your scraper cut into the areas of 

the 3-in-1 Cabinet Scraper Sharpening Tool indicated by the 

textured line patterns.
