SECTION 6: TROUBLESHOOTING

6.1 Se

q

uence of Operation

The BJ8 Fan Control uses an external temperature
sensor to automatically adjust HVE Fan speed. In
AUTO mode, fan speed

w

ill increase as temperature

rises beyond the point set at temperature dial. In
MAX mode, fan

w

ill run at full speed regardless of

temperature. The BJ8 has an ON/OFF s

w

itch for

turning HVE Fan(s) on and off. The temperature sen-
sor should be located as close as possible to one of
the HVE Fans it is controlling.

The DP5 and WAC6 Fan Controls offer manual con-
trol over HVE Fan speed.

See Page 8, Section 5

w

ir-

ing diagrams to utilize HVE Fan thermostat. In this
case, each fan

w

ill turn on

w

hen temperature at fan

exceeds thermostat setpoint. The fans speed

w

ill be

determined by speed set on controller. To disable
HVE Fan thermostat,

w

ire line po

w

er to terminal “1”

rather than terminal “L”.. In this configuration, fan con-
trol ON/OFF s

w

itch

w

ill be used to turn HVE Fan(s)

on and off.

If a fan control is not used, the built in thermostat on
each HVE fan

w

ill turn equipment on

w

hen tempera-

ture at fan exceeds setpoint of thermostat.

DANGER

Electrical Shock Hazard

Disconnect electric before service.

More than one disconnect switch may be
required to disconnect electric to the unit.

Failure to follow these instructions can result
in death or electrical shock.
