General

No sound

1.Speakers are not connected.

   Check the speaker connection

2.Wrong function is selected.

    Set switch to the proper position.

3.Defective volume control.

   Set the volume control to a proper sound level

4.Defective earphone jack.

    Replace the earphone jack.

AM

No sound ,weak

1.Improper location of unit.

sound.

   Rotate or reposition the unit.

(Low sensitivity)

2.Defect in <T103

   Check resistance voltage and current .Replace as needed.

3.Defect AM antenna coil or oscillator coil.

   Replace if necessary.

4.Intermediate Frequency tuning faulty.

   Readjust (See"Alignment")

5.RF  Tracking faulty.

   Readjust (See"Alignment")

6.Defective IC 101(TA2111N).

7.Poor contact in antenna circuit.

   Check resistance and re-soldering.

FM

No sound ,weak

1.Fm antenna is not connected.

sound.Low sensitivity

   Connect the built-in or external antenna.

2.Defective band selector switch.

   Replace or repair the switch .

3.Defective IC 101(TA2111N).

   Check voltages.Replace if necessary.

4.Intermediate Frequency tuning faulty.

   Readjust(See"Alignment")

Poor contacted or repair as required.

Tape

No sound/recording,

1.Dirty capstan or head.

Unsteady tape sound,

   Clean the capstan or head with alcohol.

Weak sound

2.lrregular cassette tape winding.

   Replace tape.

3.Defective IC (TA7417)

   Check voltages.Replace if necessary.

4.Cassette prevention tabs broken out.

    Replace tape or cover tab openings with adhesive tape .
