/toxic and oxygen versions of the M2A-XL.
Preventive Maintenance
This section describes a recommended preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the optimum
performance of the M2A-XL. It includes daily, quarterly, and biannual procedures.
Daily
Verify a display reading of zero (20.9% for an oxygen M2A-XL). Investigate significant changes
in the reading.
Quarterly
Calibrate M2As that do not have an IR detector as described in “Calibration, Combustible Gas,
CO2, and Toxic Versions” on page 58 or “Calibration, Oxygen Version” on page 63. See
“Calibration Frequency” on page 58 for a discussion of calibration frequency guidelines.
Biannually
Calibrate M2As that have an IR detector as described in “Calibration, Combustible Gas, CO2, and
Toxic Versions” on page 58. See “Calibration Frequency” on page 58 for a discussion of
calibration frequency guidelines.
