Steelhead EX Hardware Specifications
With Steelhead EX 2.0, part of the memory is dedicated to RiOS and part of the memory is dedicated to
virtualization. The memory is not shared. CPU cores are dedicated to either RiOS or VSP. The processors
are not shared.
The following table describes the hardware specifications for the xx60 series models. The “RAM, Available
to VSP/ESXi” column in this table indicates the amount of physical memory made available. Deploy virtual
machines on ESXi in accordance with VMware Performance Best Practices for vSphere, which you can find
at the following URL:
