Updating NetProfiler Software
Install the Dispatcher Module
New Settings:

IP Address: 10.38.128.196/18
Gateway: 10.38.128.1
NOTE: Setup will conclude with a reboot of this SteelCentral device. After
all modules have rebooted, setup can be completed by logging into the UI at
https://10.38.129.68/
Login as admin/admin.
NOTICE: All existing settings and logs will be lost.

When the Expansion Module reboots, it communicates with the other Enterprise NetProfiler modules as necessary to
be added to the system.
Install the Dispatcher Module
You must install a Dispatcher Module if your Enterprise NetProfiler has more than six (6) Expansion Modules, or if
your flow rate is greater than 10M FPM. You must configure the Dispatcher Module before you install the seventh and
additional Expansion Modules. You do not need to log in to the web user interface as part of the configuration.
Follow these steps
:
1.
Plug in the bootable USB memory stick.
2.
Use a terminal emulator program and a console cable to connect a laptop or other device to the CONSOLE
connector.
3.
Switch on or power-cycle the module. During the POST sequence, configure the BIOS to boot from an external
USB device.
4.
When the system boots from your USB stick and displays the boot prompt, enter “install” and wait for the system
to install the software.
The process takes approximately 20 minutes. After the installation process completes, you can remove the USB
memory stick.
5.
When the software installation completes and the “boot” prompt appears, remove the USB memory stick and
power-cycle the appliance. After the system reboots, the login prompt is displayed.
6.
Log in at the login prompt using “admin” user name and “admin” password.
7.
Enter the required information at the prompts at the configuration wizard starts. For example:
