BEFORE USE
CAUTION: To prevent hot water from boiling out of spout, do not fill kettle
past the Maximum Fill Indicator located inside of spout.
1. Fill kettle with cold water to the Maximum Fill Indicator. Kettle should always
be unplugged when filling with water.
2. Plug into 120 volt AC outlet. Allow water to come to a boil.
3. After water reaches a boil, unplug from outlet. Pour water out of kettle. Be
careful of escaping steam. NOTE: Always unplug cord from electric outlet
before pouring water out of kettle.
4. To rinse, refill kettle with water and pour out. NOTE: It is recommended that
you boil and discard a full container of water at least twice before consuming
any water from the kettle.
1. Fill kettle with the amount of cold water needed or to the Maximum Fill Indicator.
Keep kettle level when filling.
2. Place kettle on a dry, level, heat resistant surface and plug into 120 volt AC outlet.
3. When water reaches a boil, the whistle will sound. Unplug from outlet. Pour
water from kettle, being careful of escaping steam. NOTE: Loudness of whistle
will vary with the amount of water in kettle. The fuller the kettle, the louder the
whistle.

IMPORTANT
• Kettle should always be unplugged from electric outlet before filling with water.
• To prevent hot water from boiling out of spout, do not fill kettle with water
past the Maximum Fill Indicator located inside of spout.
• There should always be at least 8 ounces of water in kettle for heating.
• For best results, always add freshly drawn, cold water to kettle for heating.
• Use kettle on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface away from any edge.
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
SHOULD BE AT LEAST AS GREAT AS THE ELECTRICAL RATING OF THE KET-
TLE.
The extension cord should not be allowed to drape over the counter or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
