3.1.15 Minimal lubrication
To lubricate the tools, namely during drilling, thread tapping and milling, a
minimal lubrication is installed that squirts a brief spray pulse for each drilling
and thread tapping work step to ensure a permanent spraying at the tool tip
for each milling work step. The required lubricant quantity can be set by the
program as time setting and at the minimal lubrication by turning the knurled-
head screw.
The viewing tube must be filled appropriately and can be filled via the filling
screw when no pressure is present.
Further information can be found in section 4.2.9 "M&K Basis minimal lubri-
cation system".
3.2 Proper use, foreseeable misuse
The Perforex BC machining centre is used exclusively for drilling and thread
tapping as well as for milling cutouts in enclosure mounting plates, busbars
and enclosure housings.
Warning!
Only monolithically constructed tools may be deployed.
Non-observance can lead to injuries caused by flying tool
fragments.
Your Perforex BC machining centre is a CNC machine tool used exclusively
for drilling and thread tapping as well as milling cutouts in enclosure mount-
ing plates and enclosure housings in the form of panels and cubes. The thin
sheets must be produced from a material typically used in enclosure con-
struction (see section 3.2.1 "Proper materials") and for cubes may be ma-
chined only from the outer side.
Your Perforex BC machining centre is designed as an individual workplace.
Any other use is deemed improper.
Your Perforex BC machining centre is state-of-the-art and built according to
recognised safety regulations. Nevertheless, improper use can pose a threat
to the life and limb of the user or third parties, or result in possible damage to
the machine and other property.
Consequently, your Perforex BC machining centre should be only used
properly and in technically sound condition! Any malfunctions which impair
safety must be rectified immediately! The intended use also includes ob-
servance of the provided documentation and compliance with the inspection
and maintenance conditions. Rittal is not liable for any damage which may
result from failure to comply with the provided documentation. The same ap-
plies to failure to comply with the valid documentation for any deployed ac-
cessory (see section 1.4 "Associated documents").
Non-intended use may be dangerous. A foreseeable misuse of your Per-
forex BC machining centre is an operation of the machine under the follow-
ing conditions:
– in an imperfect state (with obvious faults or heavy contamination)
– with opened doors
– with removed protective covers
– with bypassed safety switches
– unauthorised in service operation
– in an explosion-prone environment
