You can also change the filter settings in this window (hardware filter). This filter is very
useful in noisy environments.
You can also set the slope rate (voltage/min) with up and down arrows in this window. It is
the rate at which voltage will increase in the test. Max slope rate is 5000 V/m.
After setting up all the basic settings press the button to go back to the main
measurement screen. All these control settings are stored by the meter so that the next
time you start the meter you do not need to do these settings again.
Then connect the test leads to the equipment whose Insulation Resistance has to be
measured.
On the measurement screen press and hold the button for about 3 seconds and
then release it to start the test.
The speaker will give 3 beeps in order to indicate that the test has started. After the test
has been completed all the parameters will be displayed like insulation resistance voltage
and current.
Because there are a lot of parameters to be displayed they have been divided into three
sub screens which can be scrolled using the scrolling arrows. Figure(on next page) shows
the sequence of the screens along with the parameters displayed on the corresponding
screen.
